Description
Forklift Steering Cylinder — Custom OEM Engineering
This steering hydraulic cylinder is produced to customer-specific dimensional and performance requirements — the defining feature that separates it from our standard catalogue steering cylinder. Machine designers and maintenance teams that need an exact dimensional match to a Linde, Still, BT, or other specialist forklift brand’s steering cylinder, where standard catalogue items do not match, use this engineering-to-order service. The cylinder is a double-acting hydraulic cylinder with hard chrome rod, welded body construction, and a composite seal package rated for the combined side-load, torsional, and axial forces present in rear-steer forklift geometry.

Engineering-to-Order Process
Provide a dimensional drawing or the OEM part number and forklift model. Alternatively, send a sample cylinder for measurement. Include force requirement if known.
Our team reviews the requirement, confirms feasibility, and returns a proposed specification drawing within 3–5 working days for customer approval.
First-article samples produced and dispatched for customer testing within 15–25 working days of drawing approval. Dimensional and pressure test report included.
Following customer approval of first-article, series production commences. Annual blanket orders and consignment stock arrangements available.

Why Customers Choose Custom Engineering
Dimensional match to the OEM specification eliminates the risk of fitment issues that can occur with ‘close enough’ catalogue substitutes.
First-article dimensional report, material certificate, and pressure test certificate provided for customer qualification records.
Custom units available within 15–25 days of drawing approval — shorter than many OEM spare part delivery windows.
Qualified as a long-term supply source with part number and drawing archive retained for repeat orders without re-qualification.
