HCYY11112001 Forklift Tilt Cylinder — Mast Angle Control
The HCYY11112001 controls the forward and backward tilt of the forklift mast. As a double-acting hydraulic cylinder, it pushes the mast forward when entering a load and pulls it back to carry position under full rated load. This cylinder operates in one of the most mechanically demanding positions on the forklift — it must hold the mast and load at a precise angle when the control valve is in neutral, under vibration and impact loads from the operating environment, without allowing any angular drift. The HCYY11112001’s static hold performance is verified through a pressure-hold test in both extension and retraction directions at 1.5× rated working pressure before shipment.

Tilt Function in Forklift Operation
Forward Tilt
The operator tilts the mast forward to lower the forks toward the load and to increase fork insertion angle for ground-level picking. At maximum forward tilt with a full load, the tilt cylinder extension force must overcome the rearward moment of the load and mast — the cylinder is at its maximum force demand in this position.
Backward Tilt
Mast backward tilt (carrying position) is achieved by cylinder retraction. The cylinder pulls the mast back against the weight and inertia of the load, tilting it to the stable carrying position that raises the load’s center of gravity slightly above the front axle line. The HCYY11112001 is sized to provide adequate retraction force for the rated load at the design system pressure.
